Hematite 50ml
Hematite 50ml
Rublev Colours Hematite is bluish red with above average tinting strength. It is opaque, fine grained, goes on smoothly and brushes "long" in the direction of the brush stroke. Hematite is a single pigment color made of natural iron oxide mineral from the ore deposits in the United States.
Red iron oxide or ferric oxide is the principle coloring agent in the natural mineral hematite, which is often associated with varying proportions of other minerals such as clay, chalk and silica. Natural red oxides, such as hematite, are very opaque, absolutely permanent and have excellent covering power. They are strong absorbers of ultraviolet light.
