Rublev Colours Vermilion is an intense red found in historical painting since antiquity. It is opaque, has good tinting strength and smooth grained.

Vermilion is the synthetic version of the natural mineral cinnabar. Known since ancient times in the natural form it was first synthesized in China and later introduced to Europe. Rublev Colours Vermilion Artist Oil is made using Chinese vermilion manufactured according to an ancient family recipe consisting of the "dry process" and ground in linseed oil.
